Clyde Douglas Larsen

Clyde Douglas Larsen, age 71 of Elgin, passed away on Sunday, November 29, 2020, in the comfort of his home, surrounded by family and under the care of hospice.
Clyde was born in Chicago, IL on December 7, 1948, and was one of three sons born to the late Arthur & Eleanor A. (nee Drury) Larsen. Clyde was a resident of the Carpentersville-Elgin area all his life and was a 1966 graduate of Irving Crown High School.
Following high school Clyde served in the United States Army and was a proud Vietnam War Veteran. During his time in the Army, Clyde earned the rank of SSGT 1st Class. Following his time in the military, Clyde worked in the heating and cooling industry for many years before becoming a code enforcement officer for the City of Elgin until his retirement.
Survivors include his beloved wife of 28 years; Janet C. (nee Dein), his daughters; Amy and Amanda and a grandson; Maximillian Neel. Clyde is also survived by his nieces; Diana Oclon and Melissa (Zef) Sandoval and a nephew; Daniel (Christine) Dein along with several grand and great nieces and nephews and countless good and faithful friends. In addition to his parents, Clyde was preceded in death by his brothers; Arthur and William. Burial with military honors was held on Saturday August 7, 2021, 1:00 P.M. at the Dundee Township East Cemetery, East Dundee.
