Some of the great network family shows of the past

Network Family Shows of the 60's and 70's

Then Came Bronson (1969 - 1970) NBC
Starring:  Michael Parks

This was my 2nd favorite show of all time growing up, right behind Mannix.   Michael Parks sang the closing song, "Long Lonesome Highway".   It was a #20 song on the Billboard Charts in 1970, still a great song.

The Waltons (1972 - 1981) CBS
Starring:  Ralph Waite, Michael Learned, Will Geer,
Ellen Corby, and Richard Thomas

There are two clips here, an opening and the famous closing,
"Goodnight John Boy".

Apple's Way (1974 - 1975) CBS
Starring:  Ronny Cox, Frances Lee McCain, Vince Van Patten,
Patti Cohoon, and Kristy McNichol

Another show I liked that didn't last long.

Family (1976 - 1980) ABC
Starring:  James Broderick, Sada Thompson, Gary Frank,
Kristy McNichol, and Meredith Baxter Birney

Eight Is Enough (1977 - 1981) ABC
Starring:  Dick Van Patten, Diana Hyland, Susan Richardson, Grant Goodeve, Laurie Walters

The White Shadow (1978 - 1981) CBS

Thomas Carter, and Timothy Van Patten
